This one I titled "Pears A Duex". I uses several of Kim's textures as you can see in the screen shot.
Including her wonderful new texture "Phoebe". Sounds like Kim had a wonderful time at Camp Shutter Sisters. Loved her post today about dreams. Got me to thinking, I have lots of dreams but have never really given them life by writing them down. I think that is going to be a project for me this week. Visualize what my dreams are and write them down, look at them and find ways to make them come true. I do believe that if you can dream it you can achieve it. Winter always gets me in a gray mood, it can be so gloomy and wet here in the winter and the sun is absent for days and months. I need to use this time to make my dreams come true. How about all of you, are you ready to really make it happen? Next week I will try and post my list of dreams. Head over to the Cafe to see how we used the prompt "Two" this week.
Texture Tuesday
Beautiful images and wonderful use of textures!
ReplyDeleteHello Pat,
ReplyDeleteThose Ginko leaves have such strong shapes. I bet that tree goes back a few thousand years. It looks sort of prehistoric. And the wood combines so well with the pears in your second shot.
Good morning Pat . . I love both of these edits but the gingko leaves are just so striking . . .beautiful work, Teresa x
ReplyDeletetwo of my favorite subjects! the ginko leaves are lovely and i really like how the black background isolates their beauty. the pears look like they are having a lazy day : ) they are lovely too!
ReplyDeleteBoth images are lovely; I favor the ginko leaves - they are absolutely gorgeous. Ginko trees hold a special place for me because I saw several beautiful trees in China. Thank you, kareninkenai
ReplyDeleteI really like the dark background in this image. I haven't yet dared use such a dark texture with any of my images but now I think I'll give it a go. Gingkos are probably my favourite trees, and their autumn foliage is such a gift
ReplyDeleteLove both, I can see why you had a tough time choosing and who minds getting to see more of your fabulous pictures? :-)
ReplyDeletethese are both wonderful! That first one is so unusual with the black background, I really like it :)
ReplyDeleteuber-cool!! that gingko photo blows me away!!!
ReplyDeleteWonderful texturing, Pat! It's hard to know what is natural (bruising) on the pears and what is texture! Ginko and pears... hmmm, definitely a hard choice for a favorite!
ReplyDeleteI love the gingko leaves against the dark background! Beautifully done! There are two gingko trees within view of my windows and I too enjoy their gorgeous Fall colour.
ReplyDeleteWell, Pat.....you have created two absolutely fabulous images! LOVE the gingko leaves! And the way you "posed" your pears is so great. Both of these photos would look beautiful in frames.
ReplyDeleteGreat images, love both of them.
ReplyDeleteThe fan-like ginkgo leaves are beautiful against the dark background.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous images, both of them. I love ginko leaves also, they remind me of fairy wings. Lovely texture work on the pears also, I really like thw wood texture to the image.
ReplyDeleteI see why you needed to post both the leaves and the pears. I know I would not have been able to choose either, they are both so lovely.
ReplyDeleteThe ginko leaves against the dark background are very dramatic! The pears have a rustic look and the texture really enhances them!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Think I will join you and watch your journey also! Those leaves are amazing!
ReplyDeleteLove the ginko leaves -- I wish I had a tree nearby, I love seeing them too. But I just love how dramatically you've isolated them with that black background. Lovely! I'm partial to the pears too. ; )
ReplyDeleteLove both of these edits but lean to those pears! Awesome!
ReplyDeleteIt is truly difficult to pick which one is nicer, both images are beautiful! and love the processing, very nice.
